The Tacos y Tamales Festival aims to give back to the community as a portion of proceeds will benefit the local Pilsen Arts & Community House, Frida Kahlo Community Group, and Opportunities for All.
The Festival is FREE to attend, however there is a $7 Suggested Donation (at the gates) benefiting these great causes.
Patrons may show support and Donate Early (starting at $5); which is the only way to use a Credit or Debit Card to enter the festival by donation. Simply show your donation confirmation (whether printed or on your smart phone), and enter with ease!
The backdrop for Tacos y Tamales will take place in the shadows of the impressive 16th street murals, where local, as well as National and International artists have their works displayed right on the very walls the festival calls home. There will be two performance stages, featuring live music and DJs throughout the weekend with traditional acts, interactive dance performances, and higher energy Latin rock into the night. Notable names will include: RICO, Sonora Dinamita, Edward Carpio, Enrique Calderon, La Nueva Sonora Santanera, plus Tribute Acts Featuring Santana and Karla Perez as SELENA on Saturday night!
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO DONATION REFUNDS. Valid ID required. Must be 21 years of age to consume adult beverages. Venue/Festival reserves the right to refuse service for any patron at venue discretion. Please drink responsibly; consumption will be monitored by venue/festival staff. Venue/Festival is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Buying tickets and gathering are at patrons’ own risk.
